Tampa Comprehensive Plan Amendment TA/CPA 10-05
The purpose of this text amendment is to facilitate the development of the proposed Economic Development Overlay Tampa Green Tech Corridor, of which the Tampa Industrial Park/USF Research Park area is a key component. The goal of this plan-text amendment is to help diversify and expand the employment base in the Tampa Industrial Park/USF Research Park area, in ways that encourage the development of target industries. The City plans to leverage its Green Business Designation Program and Green Fast Tract Review process with this effort to achieve long term impacts on land use and economic diversity and viability for the city’s workforce. The plan-text amendments seek to leverage the Tampa Green Tech Corridor’s resources, location, and infrastructure investments to facilitate economic development that attracts, retains, and cultivates high‐quality jobs for the citizens of City of Tampa.
