Temple Terrace Land Development Code
At its August 3 and 17 regular meetings, the Temple Terrace City Council adopted the last of the comprehensive overhaul to its land development code, as recommended by the Planning Commission at its June 14 meeting.
These code changes bring the provisions of the City’s code into conformance with recent changes adopted as part of the City’s new “2025 Comprehensive Plan”. These include the Plan’s new commercial overlay categories to promote mixed-use multimodal and pedestrian-friendly redevelopment. The code changes also may add two more zoning districts, and tightened uses along the Hillsborough River, as well as the updated provisions for the City’s sign regulations. The next round of code changes is expected to address more detailed design standards to implement the new citywide Multimodal Transportation District, which was recently adopted as part of the Mobility Element of the City’s new comprehensive plan.
