The Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission provides long range planning services to the officials and citizens of all jurisdictions within Hillsborough County, including the City of Tampa, City of Temple Terrace, City of Plant City, and unincorporated Hillsborough County.
The Planning Commission, as the designated Local Planning Agency (LPA), has the legal responsibility for developing long range comprehensive plans, the review of rezoning requests, the review of development of regional impact (DRI) proposals, and the monitoring and evaluation of comprehensive plans and capital improvements programs.
