GIS Mapping Applications

The Planning Commission's Automation Team maintains a comprehensive information resource online, for use by planners, officials and citizens.

The following materials are links to sites, documents, and resources related to GIS and visualization tools:

  • The PIGI GIS Viewer lets you look at Future Land Use, Existing Land Use, aerial photos, and other GIS planning maps on your home PC. You can view county-wide and zoom down to a specific parcel.
  • The Land Use Information System (LUIS) is a web-based application geared to planners for retrieving and viewing existing and future land use data. It provides the ability to search for specific properties, view parcel and land use information (e.g., land use designations and acreage), and display maps using an interactive map viewer.
  • Links to websites with GIS data or applications.
