Local Inter-Organizational Networked Knowledge System (LINKS)

by tatuma last modified 2007-06-20 13:18

LINKS is a great way for GIS users in central Florida and the Tampa Bay area to network with other GIS users. You are welcome to come to our meetings.

The basic tenets of LINKS emphasiza the need for a non-centralized information system, address the reality of different and constantly changing technologies, focuses on 'metadata' (information about data), promotes a people-based partnering process, and respects each organization's specific talents, needs, and utilization of GIS.

Anyone is invited to attend and participate- you can be a beginner or 20-year expert. In addition to government and educational organizations, GIS professionals from private sector are welcome.

LINKS holds regular meetings on the 18th floor of the County Center building, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa.
