Hillsborough County MPO

The Hillsborough County Metropolitan Organization website, which is a resource agency for long-range transportation planning.

Hillsborough River Interlocal Planning Board and Technical Advisory Council

Mandated by state law, the River Board and Council developed a Master Plan for the Hillsborough River, incorporating policies broadly pertaining to water quality and quantity, safety and use of the river, and protection of wildlife and its habitat and along the river. The River Board and Council coordinate the plan's implementation between the jurisdictions along the river.

Hillsborough Metropolitan Organization Transit Study

The Metropolitan Planning Organization conducts studies to identify transit service needs in Hillsborough County. Study findings and recommendations will be considered during the MPO Long Range Transportation Plan update in 2008.

Fiscal Impact Estimates of Land Devlopment (FIELD)

The FIELD model was designed to analyze financial feasibility of comprehensive plans for multi-jurisdictional regions such as Hillsborough County, which is divided into four jurisdictions: Tampa, Temple Terrace, Plant City, and Unincorporated Hillsborough County.

Hillsborough County Government

Located midway along the west coast of Florida, Hillsborough County has 1,048 square miles of land and 24 square miles of inland water area for a total of 1,072 square miles. The unincorporated area encompasses 909 square miles, or more than 84 percent of the total county area. Municipalities account for 163 square miles.

City of Tampa

The City of Tampa is the largest city in Hillsborough County, is the county seat and is the third most populous city in Florida.city_tampa

City of Temple Terrace

On the northeast side of the Tampa Bay area, Temple Terrace is strategically situated between three major interstates— I-4, I-75, and I-275. This ideal location makes Temple Terrace conveniently located to not only the Tampa/St. Petersburg area, but also within a short driving distance to Orlando and the Sarasota beach areas.

City of Plant City

Plant City is ideally located in the heart of Central Florida situated in the northeastern corner of Hillsborough County. Serviced by four major interchanges on Interstate-4, Plant City offers easy access to all Florida Interstates and State Highways.
