Unless otherwise indicated, these maps were donated by the Supervisor of Elections for the Planning Commission to digitize. These are copies of the original precinct maps used for elections in the first half of this century. Their additional value is that they provide the location of the enumeration districts. Prior to the 1950s, the Census compiled their statistical data only on enumeration districts. Students or researchers seeking statistics on small areas in Hillsborough County can use these maps to cross-reference published Census accounts.
