This report was prepared by the State Road Department of Florida in cooperation with the Public Roads Administration of the Federal Works Agency. The Federal Works Agency was a New Deal agency established during the administration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
It is unclear if this report was ever adopted or utilized in any way by the state in planning roads. However, it does provide statistics regarding Tampa's growth during the post-war boom years. Also, it is one of the few extant New Deal documents available online related to the City of Tampa.
