American Community Survey

Up one level

The ACS Census will replace the additional data historically collected by the decennial Census long form. The population cut-off is 65,000 for annual ACS data. In December of 2008, the U.S. Census Bureau will introduce 3-year averages, providing a first look at the characteristics of midsize population areas. The 3-year averages will be based on data collected from 2005 to 2007 and will include all geographic areas with populations of 20,000 or more.
