I-4 Green Tech Corridor

The I-4 Project Team has the following scheduled:
- The Board of County Commissioners will have a workshop on the proposed I-4 Green Tech Corridor plan amendment on January 14, 2010. Currently the amendment is being reviewed by commenting agencies and neighborhood associations.
- The Planning Commission public hearing is scheduled for 5:30pm March 22, 2010.
- The Plant City team filed Comprehensive Plan amendments relating to the Interstate-4 Green Technology Corridor on November 6, 2009.
- The Cities team will be filing a plan amendment in the Spring of 2010 to designate the Tampa Industrial Park as part of the I-4 Green Technology Corridor.
- The project management team has completed the Existing Conditions Report. Look under the Core Study Team folder (below) for the copy of the final report (17.3 MB document). At the August 11, 2009 BOCC Land Use Meeting, the report was accepted and the BOCC provided policy direction for the implementation phase of the study. Draft is dated November 23, 2009 and takes into consideration agency comments.

Plant City's plan amendment filing deadline is November 6, 2009. The Core Study Team will discuss these policies as part of the preparation for the amendment package.

This folder contains various maps relating to the corridor. Many of these study maps will assist in the development of study recommendations.

This folder contains corridor plans from other areas in Florida and across the United States. The Business and Government Advisory Group suggested research of Innovation Way (Orange County), Seminole Way (Seminole County), and others across the country.
