Brandon Main Street
The Brandon Main Street Community Plan was a collaborative project between Hillsborough County and the Greater Brandon community to create a traditional town center in this community situated approximately 10 miles east of downtown Tampa. Located near the Interstate 75 and State Road 60 corridors, the project area is similar to many suburban Florida bedroom communities with separated land uses, wide commercial roadways, and dependence on the automobile (click here to view plan map). The Brandon Main Street Community Plan provides an alternative to this suburban form of development through Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) standards that reinforce the community's vision for the area
Project Information
The Brandon Main Street Community Plan was started in response to planned improvements to the Crosstown Expressway, including construction of the Brandon Parkway; future construction of a County Regional Services Center; and the community's desire to reinforce Brandon's civic identity by establishing a “Main Street.”
Plan Status
While ultimate construction of the town center will occur through private ventures, Hillsborough County adopted an implementation program for the plan that includes regulatory mechanisms and construction of capital projects.

With several offices including - Clerk of the Circuit Court, Property Appraiser, Water Resources Payment Location - opened in July 2008. The Regional Service Center reinforces the Community’s vision for Brandon Main Street as the center of our community.
Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce
330 Pauls Drive - the stunning facility was built in accordance with the standards developed by the Community for BMS.
