Future Land Use Verifications
Planning Commission staff is available to assist the public in verifying the future land use designation on parcels within each jurisdiction.
Staff can also provide an official written verification letter for a fee or the public can utilize the planning commission website to verify a future land use designation on a parcel through the Land Use Information System (LUIS) or Planning Information Gathering Interface (PIGI).
- The PIGI GIS Viewer lets you look at Future Land Use, Existing Land Use, aerial photos, and other GIS planning maps on your home PC. You can view county-wide and zoom down to a specific parcel.
- The Land Use Information System (LUIS) is a web-based application geared to planners for retrieving and viewing existing and future land use data. It provides the ability to search for specific properties, view parcel and land use information (e.g., land use designations and acreage), and display maps using an interactive map viewer.
