Evaluation of the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission
This paper assesses the performance of the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission. The Planning Commission, which was established by a special act of the Florida Legislature in 1959, serves as the local planning agency for the County and each of its municipalities under Florida's growth management laws. It is one of only a handful of organizations in Florida that have been established locally to foster intergovernmental coordination and countywide land use planning beyond what is required by the state's growth management laws.
